Gifted and Talented
This page is aimed primarily at the pupils and the parents of those pupils who are on our Gifted and Talented pupils register.
However, there are ideas, websites links and subject specific information which are of interest to all pupils.
This page includes:
1. a parent’s booklet, which can be downloaded and printed
2. the Mayville Gifted and Talented pupils policy
3. a questionnaire for parents, which would be of great use to the school if it could be printed off,
completed and either emailed back to school, or handed into Mr Lawrence
4. details of any activities which are organised for G&T pupils
Please note pupils should regularly check the G&T notice board outside room 32 or see Mr
Lawrence
There is a Classical Greece Day for Remove, details below:
St Vincent College’s Classical Greece Challenge Tuesday 17th June 2008.
This is aimed primarily at academically able pupils in Remove, including our
Gifted pupils.
This should be an excellent day, where pupils have a chance to take part in a
whole series of activities based on Classical Greece. These include: Art and
Architecture, Mathematics, the Greek language, and Athletics.
The pupils will be split into mixed school groups, and will work towards
completing a challenge: ‘What message would you send from the Greeks to future
generations?’ which can be presented through drama, poetry, images and all in
Greek!
